Chez José in Portland to re-open in mid-December under new ownership!

PORTLAND, OR, December 9, 2022 — After 35 unforgettable years, Chez José in Southwest Portland closed its doors on Oct. 8, 2022. When Mark and Carla Byrum, owners of Urban Restaurant Group, heard about the closure, they were devastated. Like many other Portlanders, the Byrum’s had been dining at Chez José for more than two decades. However, as regulars amongst so many others, Mark and Carla have the resources and background to do something about the closure. Once they heard the news, they jumped in to purchase the space and keep the legacy alive. The Byrum’s plan to keep everything at Chez José the same, from the menu to the staff, even the name and logo!
